A TWO-IN-ONE AGENDA

🔥ANCIENT WORDS DEVOTION🔥
Wednesday, May 30, 2018

📜Hebrews 4:12 “For the Word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

💪🏾We know that God is all powerful and we also know that He has magnified His Word above His Name (Psalm 138:2). He goes ahead and assures us that no Word that proceeds from His mouth returns empty, without accomplishing His desire and without succeeding in the matter for which He sent it. Isaiah 55:11

✝We should therefore be very careful with the Word of God. The same Word that delivers also destroys, depending on the state of our hearts. The Spirit of God is never absent from His Word.

💥Everytime we come into contact with the Word of God (through personal study, sermons, or even one-on-one exhortation), something happens within us. The Word illuminates our innermost beings and sorts the good from the bad. Thereafter we need to take action, as the Spirit of God leads.

🤷🏽‍♂”But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.” Luke 12:48

🔥👉🏾You’re better off not reading the Bible than puffing yourself up with knowledge without following the instructions therein.

💡The Word of God works; not by us bending it to suit our situation, but by God mending us to spot the revelation. ©αnneobure

🙏🏾Father, only You could make The Word alive and active. Remind me to remain aware of the Power (The Holy Spirit) behind Your Word (Jesus Christ) at all times, that I may not abuse You, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Heart To Heart

A Perfect Match!
Plucked Out!
A Magnetic Effect!

It all began when I surrendered my heart to God (Proverbs 23:6). My heart stopped trusting in itself and began to trust in God (Proverbs 3:5) thus plucking out fear and troubles (John 14:27) since it was now being guarded by the peace of God (Philippians 4:7). Like a magnet, my heart began to derive its strength from God and not flesh (Psalms 73:26) through tests and exams set by the Lord (Psalms 26:2). This process involved breaking it, with the intention of drawing it closer to God (Psalms 34:18).

The final result is a pure heart (Psalms 51:10); a blessed heart (Matthew 5:8); a heart not trusting in an idol or swearing by a false god (Psalms 24:4); a heart whose meditation pleases God (Psalms 19:14) by having all its desires in line with God’s delight (Psalms 37:4) through following after the treasures of heaven (Matthew 6:21) and is forever wholly giving thanks unto the Lord and telling of His wonderful deeds (Psalms 9:1).

Action Plan: Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life. (Proverbs 4:23)

Prayer: Father, our hearts intentionally choose to trust wholly in You. We surrender all our heart’s desires, plans, thoughts and everything within us to Your Lordship, that you may guide us, guard us, strengthen us, break us. Lead our desires to be in line with Your delight that we may follow after heavenly treasures, daily meditating on Your Word.  May our hearts respond to You as metal is to magnet. We therefore pluck our hearts from our own control as the magnetic effect takes place. Ours is to thank You for all that You have already done as we tell of Your wonderful deeds to the ends of the earth. Lots of love coming from our hearts to You in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

The Exchange Programme

Total Relief!

A New Creature.

When I was in High School there used to be an Exchange Programme whereby the two top scorers in Form Three got a chance to visit the United States of America as two Americans came to Kenya and schooled with us during this season. Oh how we had a steep competition as we all yearned to travel overseas, knowing that only 2 out of 200 would ultimately enjoy this opportunity.

In those days there was no internet to show us how America looked like. We would wait for the two who’d be coming from there and befriending them would be our number one goal, with the objective of learning all that we possibly could about this foreign land. They dressed differently, talked with a peculiar accent and even looked different. Everything they did was our interpretation of how America was like. On the other hand, they were so fascinated with Africa! Most of them went through serious culture shock and after a few days were crying to return to America, where everything seemed easy and enjoyable.

This can be compared to Jesus’ visit to planet earth. He came from heaven to earth, to show us the Way. He came to ultimately redeem us from sin and death by dying on our behalf. He came with the look of heaven, dressed in the Full Armor of God and speaking a heavenly language; ready to demonstrate to us how we ought to live and show us where we belong. In short, He is our Exchange Programme; One to take our part and we, His; The Divine Exchange. He says:

  • I died for you that you might live with me (1 Thessalonians 5:10)
  • Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30)
  • I give beauty for ashes, strength  for fear, gladness for mourning and peace  for despair (Isaiah 61:3)
  • Come now, and let us reason together… though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. (Isaiah 1:18)
  • I have turned your mourning  into dancing; I have taken off your sackcloth and clothed you with joy (Psalms 30:11)
  • Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. (Joel 3:10)
  • Give, and you will receive… (Luke 6:38)
  • I have called you out of darkness and into My marvelous Light. (1 Peter 2:9)
  • Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

Another illustration of this Divine Exchange is seen through the Sermon on The Mount (Matthew 5:3 – 12):

Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

From 1 Corinthians 11:29, I can boldly say that after discerning the Body of Christ and accepting that He died on the cross and rose again, every time we partake of the Holy Communion, we are revived (as opposed to judgement), we are strengthened and healed (as opposed to weak and sick) and we receive life (as opposed to falling asleep – dying).

Prayer: Here we are Father, approaching You in the Name of Jesus Christ and by the Power of the Holy Spirit. Everyday we receive something new from You as we surrender our burdens at the foot of the Cross. We’re transformed into Your likeness (2 Cor 3:18) as we gaze upon You. We shall no longer hide from You when we need help, knowing that our help only comes from You. Thank You Lord for drawing us to Yourself. We desire to know You more; to drink from the River that never runs dry. You are the God of Love and this is exactly what we need since Love conquers all! (1 Peter 4:8). Amen!

The Day of The Lord

Crisp, Clear and Concise.
The Final Trumpet.
Greatest Reprieve!
Closer To The End of The Earth.

Let’s begin by summarizing the 3 steps before eternity checks in:

  1. Creation: It all began with the creation story. Adam was created by God solely for the purpose of him worshiping God. He used to commune with God face to face. The idea was for him to fill the earth with the likes of him and his beloved wife  Eve. Unfortunately the devil managed to trick him (as well as his wife) and sin checked in, giving birth to death. They could no longer appear before God as they used to. Man lost authority over the earth to the devil. Sin brought a curse into the world. Every one born of Adam was therefore born with this decaying nature, destined to suffer and ultimately die.
  2. Redemption: Thanks be to God for He already had a plan (He always does). God knows the end from the beginning. He is the Alpha and the Omega. Knowing that everyone born of man could not save man from this eternal death, He sent Jesus Christ, born of His Spirit, blameless in all His ways, to save the world. That is why Jesus had to be born of a virgin: so that He doesn’t possess the blood of man, which is already defiled. Did you know that in the fetus’ blood does not mix with it’s mother’s blood? Read more on this here. He came and died, went to hell and won back the keys to life. He did it all for you and I. Hell was never created for any man to occupy. The Holy Spirit came after Jesus returned to the Father so that He may guide us into all Truth – showing us how to become more like Jesus, that we may show the world the Word that came to set us (them) free.
  3. Salvation: God created us with self will. He calls us, by His Spirit, to His own and gives us the final choice to make. Salvation undid the curse and brought a blessing into the world. The only way to enter the Kingdom of God once again is through accepting the Lordship of Christ: allowing the blood of Jesus to wash away our sins and His death to speak for us, that we may attain eternal life – a place with no disease, no sorrow, no war, no sadness, no devils, no heartache. A place we shall forever worship our Father and our God.

The day of the Lord is near: a day when Jesus, our groom, is coming for us, His bride, to forever dwell with Him in eternity. This day is drawing nearer and nearer with every passing day. Isaiah Chapter 13 describes this day vividly (I hope to come up with a movie on it one day). Let me summarize it: God has prepared His army by placing His eternal purpose in all who have accepted His call. By prayer, fasting, witnessing and living a God – Centred life, we advance the kingdom of God, and He in turn draws the world to Himself. Why so? Because this earth is passing away. Scientists have proven that the ozone is depleting, the water bodies are exceeding their boundaries, earthquakes are coming, etc. In short, creation is groaning for the manifestation of the Sons of God. (Romans 8:19). Great destruction is coming and it will consume every fallen thing that will be on earth then. The earth will be destroyed and a new heaven and a new earth will arise. Should we panic? Not at all! God’s got us covered.

Action Plan:

  • Let us walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:15-16)
  • Let us speak boldly of the Gospel of Christ because it is the only power that can overcome the world. (Romans 1:16)
  • Let us go boldly to the ends of the earth because God is going with us and is giving us victory (Deuteronomy 20:4)
  • Let us do all that the Father tells us to do because everything works together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called by His name (Romans 8:28)
  • Let us gather together to pray and fast because it is the Lord mobilizing an army for war (Isaiah 13:4)
  • Let us remember to give God all the glory because He is the One causing us to triumph in His Name as we spread His Word – Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 2:14)

Prayer:

Thank you Lord for creating us, Thank You Lord for redeeming the world and saving us from death and into eternal life. Thank You for empowering us for the calling You have appointed us for. Thank You Holy Spirit for revealing Christ to us and guiding us in every step that we take. Lord You said, ‘Occupy till I come’. May our occupation be a fruitful one: winning souls, prospering in body and in soul, overcoming the evil one, doing what we see our Father in heaven do and making use of each and every resource you have made available to us, including social media.  I speak victory all round. I speak brotherly Love. I speak divine health. I speak salvation to every creature. I speak in the Name of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Silence The World – Awaken The Truth

Via Zipper!

  • They taught me: necessity is the mother of invention; I have learned that simplicity is the Father of revelation. The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.’ – Psalm 119:130.
  • They taught me: God helps those who help themselves; I have learned that God lifts those who humble themselves. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.’ – James 4:10.
  • They taught me: Out of sight out of mind. I have learned to walk by faith, not by sight. ‘For we walk by faith, not by sight.’ – 2 Corinthians 5:7.
  • They taught me: Fight back when beaten up. I have learned to offer my left cheek after the right’s been slapped. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.’ – Luke 6:29.
  • They taught me: First come first served. I have learned to wait on the Lord. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.’ – Isaiah 40:31.
  • They taught me: Do It yourself. I have learned to partner with God. ‘For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure.’ – Philippians 2:13.
  • They taught me: Only babies cry. I have learned to be broken before my Lord. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.’ – Psalm 51:17.
  • They taught me: Trial and error. I have partnered with a perfect Being: failure is never. For with God nothing shall be impossible.’ – Luke 1:37.
  • They taught me: pray until something happens. I have learned to pray without ceasing. Pray without ceasing.’ – 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
  • They taught me: I’d experience bloggers block. I choose to drink from the fountain that never runs dry. ‘And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.’ – Isaiah 58:11.
  • They taught me: Many gods; one for each category of life. I have met my One and Only God; The Love of my life. ‘I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me.’ – Isaiah 45:5.
  • I am now teaching them The Way, The Truth, The Life; As I zip up the world, the dupe, the lies. ‘Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.’ – 2 Timothy 4:2.

Divided we generate unnecessary agony.
Together we release a sweet smelling fragrance;
Divided we allow the enemy to advance.

Heaven resounds our unity;
When we combine every ability.
Grab your corner and instrument;
Let’s penetrate every firmament.

For brethren to dwell together in unity!

Hell Fire

Via Fry!

As the Spirit of the Lord leads us to repentance, sometimes He uses the harsh reality of damnation so as to soften our hardened hearts. He doesn’t do this to scare us back to The Way Of Life Everlasting but rather to salvage us from eternal death that was not designed for man. This bottomless pit is real guys. Even the fallen angels don’t wanna be sent there.

Things shall fry, and not die
Things shall fry, I not lie
Things shall fry, my heart cries
Things shall fry, the time’s nigh

Turn away from these things that are not of God while Grace still abounds. Place them at the foot of the Cross: our cusp. Divine exchange will begin to happen:

He’ll give beauty for ashes
He’ll give strength for fear
He’ll give gladness for mourning
He’ll give peace for despair

I have had a taste of heaven and it has changed my life forever. I not only look forward to spending eternity beholding God’s Beauty and Splendor, but I also look forward to sharing this paradise with you. My hearts desire is that when the Spirit of the Lord leads you to repentance, you shall yield to Him.

This is my message to all who have tasted the goodness of the Lord but have become callous. The Angel of Revival is coming with judgment on her wings. Only two things will happen: The good will begin to fly (soar in the things of God with no struggle, life to all areas of death) and the bad will begin to fry (flesh will eat itself up, death in all areas of life)

“Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster.”  – Deuteronomy 30:15
