Love…And Her Components

Spiritual Growth. My Candid Nature as a Child of God.

The fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, humility (meekness, gentleness), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge]. Galatians 5:22-23

Prayer: Holy Spirit, I surrender to your teaching and guidance. May Your fruit grow in me, and make me a better person in Jesus Name, Amen.

Music Corner:

Would you like to experience this transformation? I invite you to say this simple prayer: Dear God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life. Now I surrender. Thank You for saving me!
In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, feel free to contact me and I will guide you as Christ guides me. Follow  Nations Arise Revival Ministries for your Daily Devotions and grow to be more and more like Christ. God bless you.

That Taut Feeling

Dense Thoughts, Tough Questions,
Not A Coincidence But A Joyous Launch.

It’s the 28th day of the month. This date is synonymous to bill-payments-reminder-day. You are woken up in the morning by a preset alarm on your mobile phone that reads ‘to pay mortgage’. You begin the day by spending some Quiet Time in prayer, but there’s this continuous annoying beep that interrupts your soaking; it’s the noise made by the electricity token machine when your units are about to run out.

Before you’re done, the door bell rings. Usually you do not receive any visitors early in the morning but since the water company realized that most guys leave their houses early so as to beat the traffic jam, they decided to be sending their agents much earlier; that they may register the readings on the water meters. This is a sign of an e-bill about to be sent to you.

You proceed to the shower, just to be stopped midway by your House Manager informing you that she’s not able to prepare your Spanish omelette just as you like it because the gas is finished; your child tagging on you, reminding you of the school trip you’re yet to make payments for! This is where you gasp out loud, ‘I’m finished!’ No, you’re not. Stay calm, breath in, breath out.

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

Aha! There goes a timely Word from the Holy Spirit. He’s brought you back to a stable mindset. Your focus has now been redirected to the right place. He says to you, “Consider it nothing but Joy, …whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], Lacking In Nothing.” James 1:2-4 [AMP].

Now that you know that you lack nothing, you’re ready to face the day and everything that comes with it. The joy you have chosen to consider, becomes your StrengthNehemiah 8:10. The strength enables you to:

There you go! All you need to do is shift the focus from the nagging need and towards the All Sufficient One. Spend your time giving thanks for everything He has done and is continuing to do, as opposed to grumbling over the pending tasks. Keep reminding yourself over and over again that, furthermore, you are not yours, but His.

You are God’s responsibility,
The apple of His Eye;
You are God’s point of unity,
Where all that you need lies.

The aim of things all happening at the same time is not to overwhelm you but to remind you that in this world, you cannot make it without God – John 15:4-5.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for your strength that comes to replace this taut feeling with unfathomable strength from You by the Power of the Holy Spirit and in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

We Are Family

Harmony!

I am for Soprano. I am your Sister;
I am A for Alto. I am AnneObure.
You are for Tenor. You are my Teammate;
You are for Bass. You are my Brother.

When combined, we form chords that cannot be broken!

Together we produce a symphony;
Divided we generate unnecessary agony.
Together we release a sweet smelling fragrance;
Divided we allow the enemy to advance.

Heaven resounds our unity;
When we combine every ability.
Grab your corner and instrument;
Let’s penetrate every firmament.

Psalms 133:1 – ‘Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!

Unspeakable Joy

Via: Chuckle-Filled Day

Chuckle

  • I wake up in the morning, actually The Spirit of The Lord wakes me up, and fills the room with so much joy, puts a song in my spirit and keeps me locked in for a while. I get carried away and almost wake my child. I chuckle!
  • As I lazily decide to catch another wink, I receive a message from Nations Arise Revival Ministries:  Rejoicing In Our Tribulations. I chuckle!
  • My day begins with an 8 o’clock Skype meeting with my supervisor, whom I have never met (remember I work from home), and I get to learn that we went to the same primary school: thirteen years apart! I chuckle!
  • A friend was having a bad day yesterday and I tried all I could to lift his spirits, but he went to bed quite low. I made a simple prayer to God, that He, in His own loving way, may visit the man in his dream. I receive a text from him in the morning that there was a lady in his dream who asked him what he wanted. He asks this lady (I am convinced she’s an angel) for paradise, his parent’s blessings and God’s blessings and mercy wherever he goes in this world. God, let’s chuckle!
  • The Spirit of The Lord leads me to pray for Kenya, and I’m tempted to take my phone and text a friend at the battle front who has been offline for many days, but after overcoming the temptation, spending time in God’s presence, I hear my phone vibrate and Alas! My friend is online, carrying good news of victory. I cry for joy, and I chuckle!
  • I bump into Eddie James’ songs, listen to almost all of them, and decide to send Bilha one called I Need You just for her to inform me that, of all his songs, this happens to be her favorite. Who would have guessed! I chuckle!
  • Some urgent payment was to be done yesterday morning. I get carried away with work, and the moment it dawns on me that it was 3 pm, I pick up my phone to make a call before the banks close, and a text comes in, ‘The deposit was done in the morning, kindly follow up with the accountant’. Isn’t that a good reason to chuckle?
  • The Daily Post suggests ‘chuckle’ as today’s prompt. I’m chuckling!

Today I have indeed followed the steps that God had already ordered for me. May this be so for all of us all the days of our lives. Have a chuckle-filled day!
