Out Of The Frying Pan Into The Fire

Visceral Thoughts.
The Element – FIRE!

While in the frying pan, I had limited growth. The boundaries determined how far I could stretch. Here in the FIRE, I am free to expand, as long as the flames within me keep burning.

While in the frying pan, I received input from all corners, more like spices that helped season my life to bring out the taste. Here in the FIRE, I am responsible for the aroma that emanates from my life, depending on the type of wood I select for the purposes of ensuring that the flames within me remain burning.

In the frying pan there was regulation of heat. I was protected from direct burns and scalds. Here in the FIRE I am thoroughly roasted into the expulsion of all the chaff and unwanted stuff.

In the frying pan I lay flat, awaiting to be tossed and turned by every willing cook. Here in the FIRE I have no choice but to create my own motions, testing the sources of heat and selecting only the ones that keep the flames within me burning.

The frying pan was kinda dull; black in color.

The FIRE glows…brighter as the flame grows.

(The frying pan denotes Anne in control of her life while the FIRE denotes the Lion of Judah in control of Anne’s life.)

In both I burn; the former with fear while the latter in gear … towards the deep things of God.

This is a new season; one of personal responsibility, freedom, growth and maturity. One of total reliance in God, the real walk of faith.

Am I scared? A bit.

Am I worried? Not at all!

Am I alone? Far from it.

Am I covered? Over all!

Source of Inspiration For This Post: We recently moved houses; from a shared one and into our own. Time to brave the tides of life, with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit by our side.

Prayer: Lord, Thank You for new beginnings. You are the fire burning in us. Your flame is all we need. Holy Spirit, help our unbelief in this walk of faith. Father, may we always look on You as our main Supplier of everything we need. All glory and honor unto You, now and always, giving thanks through the Mighty Name of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, Amen.

The Winning Vote

Via Grey/Gray!

We are in the season of nominating those who will represent different parties in the coming elections. Campaigns have been done and now is the time to separate the wheat from the chaff. Picture this: an area with two candidates having an ordinary citizen approaching the station, picking the ballot, and ignorantly ticking both boxes!

  • This vote holds no water,
  • This vote is equated to no vote;
  • This vote is out of order,
  • This vote is a spoiled vote.

This is what happens every time we mix fear and faith. These two principles belong to opposing kingdoms. They cannot correlate. It’s always either one or the other.

  • The former brings death, while the latter, Life!
  • The former brings darkness, while the latter, Light!
  • The former has no future, while the latter’s Bright!
  • The former resembles black, while the latter, White!

Both candidates are campaigning in our lives. Both have shown us their referendum. It’s our responsibility to avidly scrutinize each, and note that there are pros and cons (all pros lie in faith while all cons in fear). Thereafter we will be able to cast an informed vote towards the principle we want to live by. Each principle activates the kingdom behind it and negates the other principle’s kingdom.

‘For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.’ – 2 Timothy 1:7

What therefore is the definition of the word(s) ‘grey/grey?’ This is a mixture of fear and Faith; a mixture of death and Life; a mixture of darkness and Light; a mixture of black and White.

‘For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.’ – Ephesians 5:8

On a lighter note: Even the word ‘grey/gray’ in itself is yet to decide whether she should be spelled using ‘e’ for fear or ‘a’ for faith. A vote of no confidence goes out from me to her.

Silence The World – Awaken The Truth

Via Zipper!

  • They taught me: necessity is the mother of invention; I have learned that simplicity is the Father of revelation. The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.’ – Psalm 119:130.
  • They taught me: God helps those who help themselves; I have learned that God lifts those who humble themselves. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.’ – James 4:10.
  • They taught me: Out of sight out of mind. I have learned to walk by faith, not by sight. ‘For we walk by faith, not by sight.’ – 2 Corinthians 5:7.
  • They taught me: Fight back when beaten up. I have learned to offer my left cheek after the right’s been slapped. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.’ – Luke 6:29.
  • They taught me: First come first served. I have learned to wait on the Lord. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.’ – Isaiah 40:31.
  • They taught me: Do It yourself. I have learned to partner with God. ‘For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure.’ – Philippians 2:13.
  • They taught me: Only babies cry. I have learned to be broken before my Lord. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.’ – Psalm 51:17.
  • They taught me: Trial and error. I have partnered with a perfect Being: failure is never. For with God nothing shall be impossible.’ – Luke 1:37.
  • They taught me: pray until something happens. I have learned to pray without ceasing. Pray without ceasing.’ – 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
  • They taught me: I’d experience bloggers block. I choose to drink from the fountain that never runs dry. ‘And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.’ – Isaiah 58:11.
  • They taught me: Many gods; one for each category of life. I have met my One and Only God; The Love of my life. ‘I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me.’ – Isaiah 45:5.
  • I am now teaching them The Way, The Truth, The Life; As I zip up the world, the dupe, the lies. ‘Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.’ – 2 Timothy 4:2.

How Great is Your Love

Song by: Mark Altrogge

No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
No mind has ever conceived
The glorious things that You have prepared
For everyone who has believed
You brought us near and You called us Your own
And made us joint heirs with Your Son.

Chorus:
How high and how wide,
How deep and how long,
How sweet and how strong is Your love.
How lavish Your grace,
How faithful Your ways,
How great is Your love, oh Lord.

Objects of mercy who should have known wrath
We’re filled with unspeakable joy.
Riches of wisdom, unsearchable wealth,
And the wonder of knowing Your voice.
You are our treasure and our great reward,
Our hope and our glorious King.

From Opaque To Awake

If Light does not penetrate, how will we see?
If we are thick – headed, how will we be able to understand?
If we are not transparent, how will others learn from us?
If we are opaque, how will our Maker reach us?

I am awake, watching and waiting
I am awake, searching the Word
I am awake, interceding for the Lost
I am awake, communing with my Maker

Wake up! Open your eyes.
Wake up! Clear your mind.
Wake up! Receive the Light.
Wake up! Your Maker beckons.

Opacity kills! Light gives life!
