Day One Of The Year 2019

Planning to have a pretty easy year.

I’m greener than this dress about my tomorrow, clearer than this blue sky about my open heavens, surer than this gate about God’s protection, hotter than this scorching weather and as eager to face the new year as my feet are eager to get off the burning tarmac.

May my smile be warm enough to communicate to you that God’s got everything under control. Happy New Year!

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

THE RHEMA WORD

🔥ANCIENT WORDS DEVOTION🔥

Daily Nourishment That Awakens Your Spirit

📜Matthew 4:4 “But He answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

💡There are two primary Greek words that describe Scripture which are translated “Word” in the New Testament. The first, *logos* , refers principally to the total inspired Word of God and to Jesus, who is the living Word. The second Greek word translated “word” is *rhema* , which refers to the spoken word. Rhema literally means an utterance (individually, collectively or specifically).

👂🏽Just as your body needs food on a daily basis to remain alive, your spirit too needs to hear a fresh Word from God on a daily basis so as to remain on course.

🧚‍♂Just as the Lord sent an angel to Mary with her Word in season, so does He minister to us direction through people, angels, sermons, songs, nature, thoughts, audible voice, etc. “Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your Word.” And the angel departed from her.” Luke 1:38

🔔For you to clearly receive the RHEMA, (spoken) Word of God, you need to first and foremost know the LOGOS (Written) Word of God. “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in It. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

💭The voice in my life that speaks the loudest is the voice that I will heed.

🙏🏾Father, work in me, give me the desire and the Power to focus on that which pleases You, in Jesus Name and by the Power of the Holy Spirit, Amen.🙏🏾

Does God Respect Man?

By God’s Grace (kindness) and Mercy (compassion), we are respected. What do I mean by this? Sin came into the world through man and this caused God to turn His face away from man. Man was cursed (due to sin) and could only be delivered through the Sinless Sacrifice, causing God to give His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die in the place of man, and glory be to God, death could not keep its hold on Him! (Acts 2:24). This is indeed God’s Grace and Mercy.

What does respect mean?

Let’s break this word into two:

  1. Re – a prefix meaning ‘again and again’, repetition.
  2. Spect – to see; to observe; to look; to watch over.

Therefore, respect means:

  • To see someone in a positive Light
  • To show concern; to show pity
  • To turn back towards; to return
  • To help; to extend favor (to favorably look upon)

Why did God do this? Do we really deserve respect? The answer is no. Respect is the undeserved ‘favor’ that is portrayed by the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. The two words can be used interchangeably.

This is the main reason why destruction CANNOT and will not come upon us.

On A Light Note: Now I understand what scholars mean when they say, ‘Respect is earned and is also two – way’ As I respect God, He in turn respects (favors) me.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your Grace and Mercy over my life that has caused You to respect (favor) me. Thank You for seeing me in a positive Light. Thank You for showing concern over my life. Thank You for returning; turning back towards me. Thank You for helping me. Because of this, destruction shall NEVER come my way in Jesus Name, Amen!

Music Corner:

You ask, ‘What does it take to be respected (favored) by the Lord? All you need to do is to say this simple prayer: “Dear God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life. Now I surrender. Thank You for saving me!
In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.”

Salvation is A glorious epilogue to man’s existence! Being Swallowed up by the Love of Christ, the Word of God being my Favorite Place; I am no longer Faceless! Not a Foreigner in the Kingdom of God, but a Child of God!

Love…And Her Components

Spiritual Growth. My Candid Nature as a Child of God.

The fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, humility (meekness, gentleness), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge]. Galatians 5:22-23

Prayer: Holy Spirit, I surrender to your teaching and guidance. May Your fruit grow in me, and make me a better person in Jesus Name, Amen.

Music Corner:

Would you like to experience this transformation? I invite you to say this simple prayer: Dear God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). That Taut Feeling

Dense Thoughts, Tough Questions,
Not A Coincidence But A Joyous Launch.

It’s the 28th day of the month. This date is synonymous to bill-payments-reminder-day. You are woken up in the morning by a preset alarm on your mobile phone that reads ‘to pay mortgage’. You begin the day by spending some Quiet Time in prayer, but there’s this continuous annoying beep that interrupts your soaking; it’s the noise made by the electricity token machine when your units are about to run out.

Before you’re done, the door bell rings. Usually you do not receive any visitors early in the morning but since the water company realized that most guys leave their houses early so as to beat the traffic jam, they decided to be sending their agents much earlier; that they may register the readings on the water meters. This is a sign of an e-bill about to be sent to you.

You proceed to the shower, just to be stopped midway by your House Manager informing you that she’s not able to prepare your Spanish omelette just as you like it because the gas is finished; your child tagging on you, reminding you of the school trip you’re yet to make payments for! This is where you gasp out loud, ‘I’m finished!’ No, you’re not. Stay calm, breath in, breath out.

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

Aha! There goes a timely Word from the Holy Spirit. He’s brought you back to a stable mindset. Your focus has now been redirected to the right place. He says to you, “Consider it nothing but Joy, …whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], Lacking In Nothing.” James 1:2-4 [AMP].

Now that you know that you lack nothing, you’re ready to face the day and everything that comes with it. The joy you have chosen to consider, becomes your StrengthNehemiah 8:10. The strength enables you to:

There you go! All you need to do is shift the focus from the nagging need and towards the All Sufficient One. Spend your time giving thanks for everything He has done and is continuing to do, as opposed to grumbling over the pending tasks. Keep reminding yourself over and over again that, furthermore, you are not yours, but His.

You are God’s responsibility,
The apple of His Eye;
You are God’s point of unity,
Where all that you need lies.

The aim of things all happening at the same time is not to overwhelm you but to remind you that in this world, you cannot make it without God – John 15:4-5.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for your strength that comes to replace this taut feeling with unfathomable strength from You by the Power of the Holy Spirit and in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
